Here in Calgary, we think fall is one of the best
seasons to leave your windows open and let in the fresh, crisp air. But as you prepare
for winter, yard and house work usually top the to-do
list, and one of your tasks will certainly be washing your windows and screens. Fall is also a great
time to choose whether you want to take your window screens off
for the winter.
You’ve commonly seen
us write about how energy efficient windows are

off your window screens is becoming less of a necessity and
more of a style preference. In the past, removing
your window’s screens was typically done for windows with
single-pane glass so storm windows could be put in. Storm
windows help increase efficiency during the winter.
